Profit From Celebrity Death Or (Hoax)

As you all know the massive trend is the “death” of Ryan Dunn from Jackass…..
Now as horrible as it sounds, the first thing that hit my mind when i saw it the other morning was “How am i going to profit from this”.
I do feel a tad bad but at the same time you can’t let down opportunities like it as it’s MASSIVE traffic!

Now a few ideas sprung to mind!

Poll style landing pages hitting fans with questions like “Is Ryan Dunn Dead” Yes or No giving them a chance to win i.e an iPad 2.
This method is good but hard at the same time as the quality is never always the best for the submits so you MUST rotate the offers and make sure they are converting (baby sitting the offers all day) long job but worth it!

Next was stuff like facetheme, pagerage stuff themed on either Dunn or Jackass…..
Make the fan’s have a bit of a guilt trip, get them downloading stuff in memory of the late man!

IQ/Ringtone based offers which you can iframe or even ones which have been made for the occasion

Content blocking the images which have been circulating the net of his burnt out porsche etc etc (you get the picture)

Physical products i.e Non official merchandise (t shirts, mugs, tags, stickers)

Here’s an example of someone who took action on the day of Osama Bin Laden”s death and netted a cool $120k in 2 DAYS!

MAN MAKES $120K IN 2 DAYS FROM OSAMA DEATH!

Again, it ain’t a nice subject but if you want $$$$ it’s something you have to sometimes use to your advantage as a marketer!!
Hope this has opened your eyes a little bit to what you can do with such trends.

Page Tab Names Get New 100 Character Limit!

Facebook has extended the length of the tab names from 16 characters or less to 100 characters! Remember this will cause less tabs to be displayed above the fold.

This will allow admins to be more descriptive with labeling their tabs and to draw more eyes to certain tabs also.

For example instead of using tab names like “ENTER HERE” you can now put “ENTER HERE TO WIN A XBOX 360″

This should trigger a few more brain cells I would have thought! What’s your views on it?

Potentially A CTR Exploder!

Hope you’ve all had a great weekend, i know i did after a great day at my mates wedding yesterday. Anyhow, enough of that and back onto business!

I couldn’t help but notice a great email which was sent me on Friday which could potentially boost CTR’s by a huge margin. Check out these images and you can use your head on this one!

Just remember that “most” users online have facebook and or know about their “like” system so have grown accustomed to liking things.

I have not tested this yet but I will be trying out campaigns hopefully this week with it, that’s if it will get past the interns. It will be very hard imho but everything is worth a shot. Go wild people!

In a nut shell it will track all of your clicks whether your direct linking or using landers. It will do all the working out on for your epcs/cpcs, you can rotate offers and landers all within a campaign.

(The cpc and epc will be off unless you have the correct mods for facebook) as facebook fluctuates according to your ctr etc thus adjusting cpc’s all the time which tracking202 can’t read unless you have the mod.

Over the next few weeks/months i will be sharing with you some awesome modifications which have been made for this open source monster to make your facebook marketing a lot swifter and sweeter!
